Update On Dad...End Near

The last month has been very trying at times. Thank goodness we have a close knit family and each of us contributes as best we can in taking care of dad. Two people are needed at all times and hospice has been called in to assist. He is to the point of very little intake of food (maybe half bowl of cereal a day) and very little fluids. He is having a hard time swallowing at all and can barely talk.

The main problem, at this point, is he still wants to do things for himself. He has to constantly be reminded that without our help, if he falls, he will be put in the hospital and/or nursing home for recovery purposes should he break anything....and we would rather see him stay at home where he wants to be. His sense of humor is still there.

We have an aid come in to bath him since he doesn't want his daughters doing that (which we fully understand). We use a baby monitor to keep track of him when he's in his bedroom resting because he has a tendency to try and "sneak" out of bed without us hearing him (guess that's where we get our stubbornness from). He doesn't seem to realize just how weak his legs are getting.

The prediction is that he has less than two weeks to live and hospice meds are already available for the relief of pain, anxiety/agitation, and breathing comfort. Oxygen has also been brought in but at this point he refuses to use it. He said if he wanted more oxygen, he would just go outside to get more :>) (there's that humor)!

If you have never gone through seeing someone you love, waste away in this way, it can be a real shock. In my time taking care of him, every week that I arrive at his home (three hours away), he appears more emaciated than the week before and I think "This will be his last few days", only to go the next week and see that his appearance is even worse but he's still hanging on. With two siblings on duty at all times, it gives one person a chance to rest for three or four hours and still have the option of that person being there should there be a need for two people to help with a situation in his care. But believe me, at the end of two or three days, you become exhausted yourself and are relieved when the next two siblings come for their rotation of caregiving. Yet, I wouldn't trade this time with my dad for anything!

Family Update

My Brother:

To start off with, brother has faired relatively well as far as digestive problems since the January report. He still is hoping his "regulation" becomes more predictable since he can not sleep through the night due to having to empty things during the night. He also has a problem of passing gas all the time which can be embarrassing when you are at a meeting at work and other places. He has been trying different products for controlling gas, but nothing seems to work presently. He also has been trying to determine which foods promote the problem. That's been kind of hit and miss so far also.

The other problem he has been having is the leg that he had to have a stent put in due to the side effect of the chemo that sort of destroyed the vein. Well that same stent had collapsed and his leg started swelling again. Upon going into the hospital once again to clear the vein and perhaps replace the stent, it was discovered that there was too much blockage this time for them to get at it! He was referred to a special specialist(!) at another hospital that perhaps could help him with this problem.

He saw that doctor last week. The doctor told him that at this point he didn't want to do anything. Reason being, he wanted my brother to be sure to get plenty of exercise to see if the veins that are working properly in that leg will take up the job of the one that isn't working (apparently this happens often in our bodies).

If, with added exercise, and elevation above the heart for at least 30 minutes a day, there isn't improvement in four to five months, then they will assess other options. Surgery to replace the vein would be one option at that time.

My Father:

My father with his lung cancer, is doing as well as can be expected considering his age (93). Up until two weeks ago, he was still living by himself. It has now become necessary for us siblings to take turns staying with him. His energy is low again, which means taking him back to the doctors to be refueled with a couple of pints of blood (it was explained to us that due to his age, his body was just not producing blood like your's or mine does normally). Usually, right after these "refuelings", he perks right up. The problem is that the periods between "refueling" is getting shorter. It was 3-4 months. It's only been a month since his last fuel-up. I take that as not a good sign.

He doesn't appear to be in any pain in regards to his lung cancer. The only pain he complains of is from his hip surgery a few years back. Therefore, he moves around very little because it hurts. His mental capabilities seem to be deteriorating quite a bit also, thus the need for someone to be with him to make sure he takes the right meds at the right times.

I love him dearly and certainly don't want him suffering unnecessarily!

My Sister:

She is doing pretty good. Again, there is swelling one arm (due to chemo) and she is suppose to be using a particular massage procedure to keep the swelling down. She did it for a while but became bored with it and is now just accepting that one arm will be larger than the other due to the swelling. Her checkups so far have all been great (but that's to be expected at this early time after treatments).

New Alt. Cancer Info:

I am amazed at the new sources that are showing up all the time regarding alternative/natural cancer treatments. A number of these are now being used by the mainstream medical industry, but they are not actively advertising these natural treatments due to the heavy government/medical/pharma industry harassment they would receive. I'll report more on these in another update.

For The Ladies Re: Mammography & Breast Cancer

I've long become an advocate of NOT having mammograms! From the information I've seen from professionals, the harm far outweighs the good. Far too often, it has been found, women have had further procedures (surgery) due to a test result that wasn't accurate. Read this article below from the Associated Press: (Due to copywrite, this article has been revised to quote just the part that pertains to mammograms.)

"FDA scientists complain to Obama of 'corruption'

By RICARDO ALONSO-ZALDIVAR – January 8, 2009

WASHINGTON (AP) — In an unusually blunt letter, a group of federal scientists is complaining to the Obama transition team of widespread managerial misconduct in a division of the Food and Drug Administration.

"The purpose of this letter is to inform you that the scientific review process for medical devices at the FDA has been corrupted and distorted by current FDA managers, thereby placing the American people at risk," said the letter, dated Wednesday and written on the agency's Center for Devices and Radiological Health letterhead.........(several paragraphs down)

In the letter the group singled out mammography computer-aided detection devices as an example of a technology that should not have gone forward. The devices were supposed to improve breast cancer detection, but instead studies showed they were associated with false alarms that led to unnecessary breast biopsies.

Since 2006, FDA experts have recommended five times against approving the devices without better clinical evidence, the letter said. In March of last year, a panel of outside advisers supported some of the concerns of the FDA's in-house scientists. Nonetheless, FDA managers overruled the objections and ordered approval." (Bold emphasis added)

I've talked to my own immediate family regarding this procedure and they still go along with whatever their physician recommends. It needs to be understood that 9 times out of 10, if a lump is detected with a mammogram, chances are that it could have just as easily been detected by self-examination. The added radiation from the mammogram is doing you more harm than good (I don't care how minute they say it is).

It's also barbaric! It has always been hard for me to believe that...if you have a lump in your breast...it's okay to compress it between to metal plates of pressure...and nothing is going to happen to aggravate the cancer more!

Everyone of my female siblings (eight of us) and myself, have had a lumpectomy performed at some time in our lives. Some of us have had it done twice. This procedure is done when a mammography shows a lump and they go in to see whether it's cancerous or just a lump. Every time they were just lumps.

My two siblings who have had breast cancer, the cancers were not found by mammography first!
In fact, both siblings found the lumps themselves within six months after having their regular examinations.

Now would someone please tell me what the advantage is to having a mammogram?

Family Update - 1/07/09

Since last posting, in mid October, my brother went for surgery to have a permanent colostomy bag. He said he didn't want to have to go through the healing process again if he had everything in his colon area reconnected, to find out that it didn't work, and turn around and have another surgery that required the colostomy anyway. As it turned out, his surgeon stated that once he saw the inside area of my brother that he would have had to reconnect, he found it would have been impossible for him to do so.

He was off work for six weeks and everything appeared to be going fine in the healing process. He returned to work the week of Thanksgiving, thus allowing himself a short work week to get back in the groove. The following week after Thanksgiving, I ended up taking him to the emergency room due to severe abdominal pain that was progressing into vomiting and no movement of any kind into his colostomy bag. Upon the beginning of these pains, we first thought that maybe it was just something he ate, or he had a flu bug, and it would all pass. But by the second day, the pains were getting worse and cramping was occurring every 1-2 minutes and he agreed to let me drive him to the ER.

After spending a week in the hospital and running every test (they could think of, they couldn't find anything wrong! Perhaps it was something he ate that just "slowed" things down, is what his doctor told him. It was going to have to be up to him to become aware of what foods would cause this problem for him, and either eliminate it from his diet, or eat smaller amounts of it. (I'm not buying this, by the way!) They send him home with...pain meds if needed.

So now we're back at home and this is our plan: we start on a "soft" diet to start with and slowly add sources of fiber and meats back into his diet. He's doing fine for a few days (about four), and then the pains return. Mind you, at this point we haven't added any beef, whole grains, vegetables or anything that is fibrous. And during this time, I started doing some research on colostomy and cramping, or colostomy/ileostomy and abdominal pain (he had stated that the pains/cramping were right where his ileostomy had been).

I found out that adhesions could create quite a problem for anyone who has had any kind of abdominal surgery. Some people could never have a problem with these little buggers, but other people could have some major problems or constant pain for some time to come unless they have surgery to have them cut away...which could cause more to grow (kind of a catch-22). The adhesions (not scar tissue) are part of your body's healing process from having organs/tissue inside your body "handled", whether by human hands or instruments. They look like a thin membrane (picture plastic wrap stretched across a dish). The problem occurs when this membrane stretches across one organ in your body and attaches it to another. So it can conceivably cause a lot of problems, if for instance in my brother's case, his small intestine (where his ileostomy was) becomes attached to another organ in his body and doesn't have the free flow movement it needs to move the waste materials to his large intestine.

Back to second on-set of pain:
Again he goes back to the hospital, but this time he's able to drive himself. He has called the doctor ahead of time and is admitted directly into the hospital. They are concerned that he might have a blockage. After performing an upper GI test, and also scoping his large intestine, they find no blockage and "again" start feeding him regular food and wait to see what happens. Things start moving okay and they release him from the hospital just before Christmas. Prior to releasing him, his surgeon mentions that the pain is probably caused by "adhesions". It happens to patients all the time and the plan is to do nothing and see if the body takes care of the problem on its own (by the adhesion breaking loose of it's own accord). Time will tell.

My sister:
Is doing good. The swelling in her arm has reduced dramatically and she's back to her normal self. Her hair has grown back and she's even decided to keep it short (more manageable). She will, of course, continue to get her regular checkups and tests, to ensure the cancer is caught early...should it return. Still...no adjustment to diet or exercise.

Good News & Bad News On Family Cancers

I like to start with good news first (of course). Since removing of the scar tissue in my brothers colon, he again has returned to better health. He's gained weight back and is beginning to look like himself. He's become much more active (even playing volleyball).

There's still a long process of healing for him to again go through another surgery to re-connect everything again, but in the meantime he is managing everything quite well and his spirit is good.

Now the bad news:

Two weeks ago, I was informed by my siblings that my dad (93 years old), was rushed to the hospital due to unbearable pain in his chest. Of course, your first thoughts are "a heart attack".

After extensive testing and x-rays, it was found that he has two spots on his right lung. They think it might be cancer and that is what's causing his pain.

The doctors feel because of his age surgery would not be an option anyways. So there's no real way to determine if the spots are cancer or not without a biopsy, but they were suggesting radiation.

My dad, being the age he is, has refused any type of surgery or mainstream medical treatment. He said he has lead a long and healthy life up to this point and can see no reason to go through all those arduous procedures at this time.

He has stated to the family, a number of times, that he is tired and is ready to go.

The good news:

My older sister has made him some of the Essiac tea and he takes a shot glass full three times a day. We will see, as time goes on, whether this helps him or not...I believe it will but time will tell.

They also have him on some form of steroids to deal with the pain, although it was found that he also had some kind of infection, and once the medication for that kicked in and cleared up the infection, he was doing much better as far as pain management.

It is his belief that once the pain is manageable, he will wean himself off the steroids gradually to see if the pain comes back...if not, he'll stop the steroids (which I'm all for).

It should be understood that this wonderful man still lives by himself and at this point, doesn't always eat the way he should. If there is someone there to make him meals....he'll eat! But most of the time, since it's just himself, he won't take the time or effort, to prepare himself a meal.

My sister who lives by him, does make sure when she cooks, she also makes a plate for him and usually drops it off to him (almost daily). But that's one meal a day...and he should be eating more than that. So, needless to say, the majority of the time he's just eating one meal a day!

I love him dearly and at this point, respect whatever way he chooses to address his health.

The good news:

My younger sister with the breast cancer is doing well after having gone through all the chemo and radiation (at this point). Her hair is growing back and she has a good outlook on life. Hopefully, it will not return Only time will tell. She has not adjusted her diet, so she still is eating all the unhealthy stuff.

My older sister who has had two breast cancers and thyroid cancer, at this point, is still going strong. Although she makes sure to get more veggies and fruits in her diet, she still has far too many unhealthy food choices. I believe, had she made conscientious food choices after the first cancer surgery, there would have been a good chance she would not have gone through a second and third surgery. Remember...these surgeries (second and third), were within five years of each other.

Well, that's my update for now, and I continue to gently inform them of their "bad" choices and what they should be doing to increase their chances of not having the cancer return. That's all I can do...the rest is up to them. I love them all!

Gardisil/HPV - Cervical Cancer - Red Algae

I've given myself time to calm down on this one (I think)! It is the most disturbing thing to me since it has to do with what pulls at our heartstrings the most...our children. How often, as you're watching TV do you see the commercials for Gardisil telling you to protect your children from cervical cancer, have them vaccinated with Gardisil? They can be "one less" in contracting the human papillomavirus (HPV) by getting vaccinated.

This is a flagrant scare tactic targeted at our most prized assets! Have you also seen the statistics for what could go wrong with this vaccination? Did you know that over 40 percent of the population that gets vaccinated could also get cervical cancer because of it? Did you know that according to the AMA (American Medical Association), most HPV is eradicated on its own by your own body and time? Did you know that the FDA knew all of this before approving the vaccine?

Gardisil HPV Vaccine Exposed

One of the original researchers for this vaccine has said it is a grave injustice that this is being promoted for girls as young as 9 years old! It was and should only be considered for women 18 years and older. Why would you vaccinate your 9 year old if you know that she is not sexually active?

Prior to becoming sexually active, it would be advised that you have a frank discussion with your daughter in regards to HPV. One scientific study has shown that a lubricant with a seaweed extract called "carrageenan" can prevent human papillomavirus (HPV).

This seaweed extract strongly inhibits the virus from attaching to human cells.

Vital Steps For Fighting Breast Cancer

Whether you've been diagnosed with breast cancer or just want to prevent it, there are steps you should be taking to improve the terrain of your breasts. Self-examination is always advisable, and in most instances will find any "lumps" just as soon as a harmful mammogram will.

Add to that, a HEALTHY diet--which means at least six servings of fruits and vegetables daily. Eliminate sugar from your diet. Stevia is an all natural sweetener and, in most cases, can be found at your local grocery store. Eliminate white flour from your diet (which includes any white bread...a whole grain bread with no preservatives is much healthier and can be found in the frozen foods section).

Drink green tea instead of coffee...eliminate carbonated drinks from your diet. Green tea has EGCG, which has an anti-tumor effect on breast cancer cells (sweeten with Stevia or organic honey). Incorporate broccoli into your diet...the more the better. If you can not stand broccoli, opt for a supplement of a "super greens" food from your local health food store. One or two tablespoons added to fruit juice will give you the same benefit with additional healthy vitamins. Be sure your "super greens" incorporate chlorella and spirulina in them. I would also take a selenium supplement. Selenium is a mineral that is normally found in our soil and is passed onto us through the foods that are grown in that soil. Unfortunately, much of our soil is depleted of selenium and therefore, our foods are also. Selenium has been found in numerous clinical trials to reduce breast tumor sizes by as much as 44 percent. It also has reduced the size of prostate tumors.

Up your lignan intake, either by supplement or through food. Studies have shown that those countries that have a higher daily lignan intake, also have lower breast cancer rates. A great source of lignans is flaxseed. Do you think Johanna Budwig and her Budwig diet which incorporated low fat cottage cheese and flaxseed oil might have had some merit? Dr. Budwig was nominated for six nobel prizes, yet when she cured many cancers through her non-mainstream medicine methods, she was ridiculed.

Incorporating the above suggestions into your diet (with plenty of water to expel toxins, etc.), should put you well on your way to stopping and/or eliminating breast cancer as a threat to your health.

Sister's And Brother's Cancer Update

At least I have a "little" good news in regards to my sister having both breasts removed. When she talked to her doctor about the procedure, he explained to her that at this time she was in no imminent danger and he felt that she should take the time to research this more before making a decision. (Hooray for one doctor!) So, for now, that's exactly what she is going to do (big sigh of relief here). Here radiation treatments have started and it looks like she's doing okay, all things considered.

My brother, after his recent surgery, also appears to functioning okay with the colostomy back in place. Again, he's been told that it will be at least six months before they can even reconsider a new surgery for reconnecting everything...and even then it's all going to depend on how well he healed whether that will even be an option. He is also, at this point, going to seek other opinions (better late then never I guess), and look into alternatives. He feels that perhaps with a different set of doctors looking at his health problems from different angles, perhaps a better outcome could be achieved.

Please note that in both cases above, none of the doctors have talked about lifestyle changes! Both sisters who had breast cancer, as well as my brother, were overweight. My brother is no longer because he's lost 100 lbs. since his procedures began! No he looks very thin, emaciated, and dehydrated! All of them have had very poor eating habits. It has been scientifically proven that being overweight has a direct impact on cancer developing. Not to mention the quality of the foods they have ingested over the years. My brother rarely ate fruits and vegetables and drank a lot of soda. The sister currently going through radiation has relied on a diet mainly of sugar and starches with very little fruits and vegetables.

The sister with two breast cancers and thyroid cancer, has implemented a variety of fruits and vegetables, purified water (both in the kitchen and the shower), and other healthier choices, but has yet to give up on the starches, sugars, and caffeine.

When fighting this disease, you can't approach it with just "one toe" in the process. You have to commit to changing your lifestyle. Eliminating those agents that are known to cause cancer and implementing healthier choices (the right foods, exercise, less stress, proper sleep so your body can heal itself, and good hydration) is the only way you are going to stop the mechanisms that trigger cancer to begin with.

H2O and Cancer

This actually should have been one of my first posts, due to it's importance. Our bodies are comprised of 75 percent water. Our brains consist of 85 percent water. There are more illnesses caused by dehydration than any other deficiency. One of the first things they do when you are admitted to a hospital is administer an IV. What's in that IV? Water and salt which is called "saline solution".

Your water intake while you are fighting cancer (or preventing it) is vitally important. Not just any water though...city water with chlorine and fluoride is not a good choice. If you are detoxing or taking supplements to fight this disease, you need to assist your body and the minerals and vitamins you are taking to "flush" the bad cells out by keeping your body hydrated.

Half of your body weight in ounces of water is a good recommendation. If you're not currently a water drinker...proceed with a plan of gradually increasing your water intake to the recommended level. All sodas, coffee, and any drink with caffeine should be eliminated. Caffeine dehydrates.

If you find that you are releasing water as fast as you are taking it in, then your cells don't have the time to absorb the water. Adding some natural sea salt (about 1/8-1/4 tsp. per 16 oz. of water), should help you retain it longer. You should be retaining it for 90-120 minutes for good absorption into the cells.

Once you are no longer dehydrated, you will find a significant difference in how you feel and look, your body doesn't have to work as hard to expel toxins and bad cells, you think clearer, breathe easier and a whole host of other benefits will be your reward.

Fighting cancer is not an easy process when you're use to today's lifestyle, but it is do-able. Being hydrated should be one of your first steps.

Breast Cancer - New Non-Invasive Therapy

There is a new therapy being administered by a clinic in Arkansas that is having very promising results. They are using laser, which is not a new method...it's the protocol or method by which they use it that is different.

Using an enhancer agent that is injected into the tumor site in the breast, the agent spreads throughout the cancer growth to "enhance" just those cells. The laser is then used and applied to those cells. The laser actually raises the temperature of the cancer cells and kills them with the high temperature. Depending on the size of the tumor, it may take several sessions, done on a daily basis, to kill all of the cancerous cells.

Once the therapy is complete, you body goes to work, through your immune system to remove these dead cells from your body. You will still need to go for follow-up tests every three months with your own physician to ensure and prove that this is taking place. No chemotherapy, no radiation, no blood loss, no excessive healing time from a major surgery, no drugs.

Unlike your typical slash and burn procedures, should your cancer reoccur, the procedure can be done again with very little harm to your body since your immune system has never been compromised from previous chemo and radiation.

MMS And Detoxing

I have no idea how many people have heard of this simple method for getting rid of "nasties" that are floating around in your body and causing all kinds of havoc to your health. I just recently came across this inexpensive product that I believe each and every adult should keep a supply of for general health purposes as well as to combat many illnesses that may occur in your lifetime.

The product is called MMS and is proving to be very effective towards all kinds of ailments. It was originally used in Africa to cure malaria by Jim Humble. The malaria patients were usually cured within 24 hours of being administered one dose. Severe cases sometimes took two doses.

They have also had some pretty good results in administering it to AIDS patients in Africa. These have been patients that conventional medicine has given up on...in these cases, they figured, "What the heck...I've nothing to lose." Sixty percent of the AIDS patients were able to return to normal life after being given high doses of the MMS. That's not too bad for people who were given up on entirely by conventional medicine.

The results for cancer victims have not yet been seen. They have had reports of some success with prostate cancer but feel most people are not reporting there successes because once they get well, they are too busy living happy lives to take the time to report back on their results. There is a video on YouTube that has a gentleman who successfully stopped his prostate cancer three years ago. He has now been diagnosed with lung cancer and has started taking the recommended higher dosage to combat that and feels confident he will succeed.

What is MMS? It's sodium chlorite that when activated by using a citric acid (such as lemon or lime juice), produces a chemical called chlorine dioxide. Chlorine dioxide is a totally different chemical than just "chlorine", so don't start thinking you're going to be ingesting a poisonous chemical.

The "Easy" Road To Cancer Treatment

I've yet to understand, after reading numerous medical reports on the "cure rates" of conventional medical treatments for cancer, how anyone could decide to take that route. I believe that the only explanation can be that it is the easiest way to deal with a cancer diagnosis.

Stop and think about it...after diagnosis, going by the options from the mainstream medical industry...you subject yourself to surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments. There's loss of hair and appetite, being tired during the whole process, destruction of your immune system, and a host of other side affects. All told, going by this precarious method of treatment, hopefully at the end of one or two years, the cancer is no longer found in your system.

On the other hand, if you had to adjust your eating habits, exercise, and make changes to your environment and normal everyday products...perhaps for the rest of your lifetime...the 1-2 years of conventional therapy and treatments, is a cake walk, right?

What most people fail to understand is that even though they take the easiest way, and even if two years down the road after the treatments, tests show that you no longer have cancer...that doesn't mean if you don't adjust your living and eating habits that cancer is not going to re-appear in some other part of your body! I can attest to this happening in most instances just from my family alone!

Remember that there are some types of cancer that have only a 15 percent 5 year survival rate (oral cancer being one of them). And a 5 years survival rate where you have half of that time feeling tired, sick, and hairless...is not quality of life.

If my survival rate is going to be less than 2-3 years, I'm going to take my chances with dietary adjustments before I let them slash and burn me so that I'm so ill, I can't enjoy what time I purportedly have left. Many people who have chosen to take this route rather than go with what their doctors suggested, are alive today to tell about it. It's not hard to find many documented cases on the internet that supports this theory, and many are willing to discuss it with you, either via email or phone contact.

But the plain truth is...poor dietary choices are what caused the problem and good dietary choices for the rest of your life is what's needed to ensure you continue to live! Most people just don't want to give up the junk food, junk beverages, sugar, white flour, preservatives, TV dinners, etc. You have to remember, at one time, we didn't have all these convenience foods available. It's only been since they have become available, that the cancer rate has risen.

Perhaps it's past time for people to start to get back to basics. Growing up in a large family, we ate what was on our plate...period. Vegetables and all! Microwaved TV dinners with a few carrots or peas, is not a healthy choice. There's a reason why fresh, raw vegetables are to be eaten. Our bodies require them in order to do all the processes it does for ridding our body of all hosts of toxins and bad bacteria. Without those vegetables, not only are you becoming nutritionally deficient in vitamins, but you are also not getting the numerous enzymes you need for absorption of those vital vitamins.

We use to have "good" milk that had no additional hormones in them. Since they are now injecting most cows with hormones in order to get higher production rates out of them, those hormones are now passed on to us through the milk we or our children drink. Is it any wonder young girls are starting ministration as young as nine years old? And some researchers are also beginning to think that the hormones in milk contributes to the number of breast cancers found each year from the increased estrogen women receive by drinking it.

Get dairy, most red meats, sugar and white flour out of your diet. Eat lots of raw fruits and vegetables. Take pollutants out of your environment, exercise, and drink lots of "good" water--for LIFE! The hard way of living without cancer? Perhaps. But I believe if more people applied themselves to one to two months of adjusting their eating habits to a more healthy one, they would probably stick with it just because they felt 100 percent better!

Researchers Finding Fruits & Veggies To Show Promise Towards Treating Cancer

More studies are proving the efficacy of a blackberry extract to be a powerful cancer fighting agent. It has now been found that black raspberries may protect against esophageal cancer. Findings are showing positive results for the reduction of oxidative stress in patients with Barrett's esophagus (BE), which is a pre-cancerous condition that is usually due to gastroesopageal reflux disease.

Research has found that BE patients have a 30-40 fold increased risk of developing esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC). This is one of the fastest growing cancer incidences in the United States today. There is currently only a 15 percent survival rate of five years for this type of cancer.

Researchers at Ohio State University, using animals that were chemically induced with oral, esophageal, and colon cancers, showed the berry extract reduced oxidative stress, slowed proliferation rates, decreased DNA damage, and reduced the amount of pre-cancerous cells in the esophagus and colon.

The greatest finding was that it doesn't seem to matter at what stage the disease is at, benefits are the same. Not only that, there are no side affects since it's just a food item that is being applied.

There were also findings of a blackberry gel used in a trial by Ohio State University for treating pre-cancerous oral lesions. Research has found that more than a third of pre-cancerous lesions will develop into oral squamous cell cancer. There are a reported 35,000 cases of this disease reported each year with approximately 7,500 deaths resulting per year from this type of cancer. Even if treated successfully, oftentimes the surgery required leaves a patient permanently disfigured.

After six weeks of testing on 30 participants, 35 percent of the lesions showed an improvement, and another 45 percent showed their lesions had stabilized. The gel was applied 4 times a day...once after each meal and at bedtime.

It was determined that more trials need to be implemented to determine that it was indeed the blackberry and not the gel itself or its application method that was the determining factor in the improvement of the lesions. This study was funded by the National Cancer Institute.

Either way, it certainly would not hurt anyone who has oral lesions to start implementing this berry into their diet. If they are out of season, there are resources on the internet where you can buy these berries freeze-dried to get you through the months when you can't get them fresh.

Researchers from Rutgers University are also showing encouraging findings on the polypenols in green tea for preventing the growth of colorectal tumors. Their study was done on rats injected with human colorectal cancer cells. After 34 weeks, rats given the green tea extract developed 55 percent few tumors then the group that did not receive the green tea. The amount given to the rats on a daily basis would be an equivalent of 4-6 cups of green tea consumption. given a and other "natural" products that everyone who has cancer or knows a loved one who has cancer should be adding to their knowledge base.

Then you have the Roswell Park Cancer Institute findings that broccoli sprouts help to prevent bladder cancer. Again, using a rat model with chemically induced bladder cancer, a freeze dried extract of broccoli sprouts proved to significantly inhibit cancer cell growth. The extract from the broccoli sprouts appeared to have increased the enzymes in the bladder that are known to protect against oxidants and carcinogens.

.Anyone who reads this information should be very encouraged that the mainstream medical industry is finally taking steps to research protocols that could be added ammunition to the "cancer fight" and has the added benefit of being less harmful than many of the drugs and toxins that they use as treatments for today's cancer patient.

Sister's Breast Cancer - Update

I have really had to take time to calm down and assess my own feelings about the steps that are being considered by my younger sister. I don't know where she is getting her information from...wait a minute...I do know. Apparently, the mainstream medical industry thinks it is justifiable to have both breasts removed! Even though, at this point, only one breast has been found to have a tumor, which was removed, treated with chemotherapy and at this time we're waiting to see if any more cancer appears in test results before performing a mastectomy.

They have told her that since she carries a gene that predisposes her to breast cancer, her risks of developing cancer in the other breast (some time in the future) are high. Therefore, it is not unreasonable to consider having the other breast removed at the same time the first is removed (if that proves to be needed)!

Nothing is mentioned about proper nutrition and adding exercise to her regime to prevent a future problem. Nothing is mentioned about eliminating bad foods, toxins from her environment, stress...etc. Which leads me to believe that she is just another "number" to add to their lists of guinea pigs for the drugs and procedures that they endorse but have no real numbers to show as cures. A five year survival rate is not a cure!

Their own numbers show that if she doesn't die from cancer (which means they cured her),. she's apt to die from another problem that was caused by their procedures of treating her. Chemotherapy alone destroys the immune system. So if she were to die from a virus because her immune system was destroyed, I guess they can then say...cancer wasn't the cause of her death!

What's wrong with this picture?

Not only that, what if she were to never develop cancer in the other breast? Than she's had a disfiguring operation for what purpose? OR they remove both breasts and she then develops cancer in some other part of her body? Was the cancer procedures for the breast then considered a cure?

Because of "their" recommendations, my sister is researching their suggestion. I just wish she would spend more time researching what they are not telling her. Yes, she is overweight...yes, her nutrition leaves a lot to be desired...yes, she has a sedentary lifestyle. Ultimately, I have to accept her decision and love her in spite of it. But I sure wish (and pray) that something will reach her to make her understand the role she has played into this disease and that it's under her control to reverse it without harmful chemicals and toxins.

A lifestyle change...you bet...but one I feel that would hold a whole new outcome and longer future for her.

Defensive Cancer Actions - Super Greens Chlorella & Spirulina

I know I've touched on this before but find it vitally important to again reiterate and perhaps more fully explain the reasons you should be adding these to your arsenal of cancer fighting steps.

Let's explain what Spirulina is and what it does:

Spirulina is a blue-green algae found in most ponds and lakes. It has been consumed for years by Mexicans, African and Asian people. It is considered a complete protein because well over half of it is consisted of amino acids. It is also a rich source of the complex B vitamins, beta-carotene, vitamin E, carotenoids, manganese, zinc, copper, iron, selenium, and gamma linolenic acid (an essential fatty acid). Because it stimulates the immune system, it may have antiviral and anticancer effects.

It was shown in Russia that children exposed to the nuclear disaster at Chernobyl, and whose bone marrow was damaged, their immune system was greatly boosted by Spirulina.

In a study of 87 people who chewed tobacco with signs of precancerous mouth lesions, patients were either given Spirulina or a placebo. Lesions in the Spirulina group were more likely to disappear.

Review: Cancer - Step Outside The Box

One of the best books I have read on the subject of cancer, it's causes, and how to address treating it in the least harmful way to your body (no chemotherapy or radiation). In my search for answers, due to three siblings in the last few years being diagnosed with the disease, I've read numerous information sites on the internet and have purchased several books to become more knowledgeable on this subject.

I've read Kevin Trudeau's book, the Budwig diet, the information on Essiac tea (I've actually helped my sister prepare this), vitamin B17 (laetrile), all the nutritional information I could get my hands on in support of preventing this disease...and I have found this book to be one of the best in supplying all this information in one place.

You will also read why your cells turn into "bad" cells and how they proliferate. Like it or not, your diet and environment have a lot to do with it and most people do very little in adjusting either one of these things once they've been diagnosed. Very few mainstream physicians ever make suggestions of adjusting your diet either and that's probably due to the vast majority of them not having been educated in that being the cause of most diseases. They are educated to treat the disease once it occurs...not on how to prevent it. Unfortunately, that whole education is based on remedies from the drug companies.

Cancer - Step Outside of the Box addresses all of the problems of why we are treated with the mainstream drugs, as well as, the steps you can take to save yourself. Some of the natural remedies do still require a doctor to monitor your progress and if you choose to use those types of remedies, you will still have to find a physician to assist you. It is ultimately your choice. There are references to direct you on the path to finding the right physicians and alternative medicine people that will be able to lead in the proper alternatives for your type of cancer.

It's a whopping 400 pages of information that every cancer patient or person who has a loved one diagnosed with this disease should read. There have been critics of this book who have said that the author, although mentioning the number of family members he has lost, never says whether they tried any of these solutions. They have also criticized the "lack" of editing and the number of typos and grammatical errors.

I find that to be of little consequence...the main information is what's important. The life you could save by reading this book, could be your own!

Brother's Colon Cancer 2nd Surgery Results

My brother appears to be fine after his second surgery. They found no cancer...just a lot of scar tissue from the first surgery and that is what was causing his blockages. They again had to do a re-section which means he will have a colostomy bag for at least another six months, at which time, they will decide whether they will be able to re-assemble everything.

The really good news to me is, my youngest sister was able to convince him to seek out the advice of another physician (or two). Hopefully, it's someone with more of a bedside manner and is willing to direct my brother towards more "natural" things he can do to improve his condition. Only time will tell...but at least he's starting to listen to other people instead of the surgeon who's currently got everything in his hands.

Brother's Colon Cancer Update

Darn, darn, darn...

My brother was still having problems and decided to go to another doctor to get his opinion. He no sooner got into the Dr.'s office and this doctor told him if he were him, he'd get himself to a hospital right away. Supposedly this doctor was not able to admit him to his facility/hospital, because they had no more room.

So my brother went back to the physician that had originally done his surgery (he saw him the same day). They ended up admitting him to the hospital immediately. He either has too much scar tissue from his original surgery or his cancer has returned. They won't know for sure until after they perform surgery! They do know that he has two blockages.

Best case scenario...it's just scar tissue, that they will remove. He'll have to have a colostomy again for about six months if that is the case.

Worse scenario...his cancer has returned, he'll have to go through everything again (chemo/radiation) and will wear a colostomy bag for his remaining days.

The lead-up to all of this was that he had attended a funeral service a couple of weeks ago where my sisters were also present. They said he had lost about 50 lbs. and his skin looked really thin.

Apparently, he had been going without eating or drinking anything during the day because it caused too many problems if he did.

One of his big concerns right now is that he doesn't have his 90 days in at his new job (that's why he was putting off going to see a doctor). Now he doesn't know if he'll even have a job when it's all said and done.

This, in my opinion, is what happens all too often when you opt for the slash and burn method of treating cancer without also attacking bad eating habits. Mind you, your immune system is already down from the chemo and radiation, the medical industry does nothing to address this as far as recommending a healthier diet that's going to assist your body in rebuilding your immunity system.

Anyone who has had cancer should be watching their pH, eating to rebuild their immunity system, and keeping all toxic foods (sugar, white flour, caffeine, dairy, etc.) out of their body.

I just wish that one of those doctors would put it to him straight, since my trying to convince him hasn't worked. If it came from one of his doctors, it would hold more weight with him, unfortunately (and I know that's how most people think).

When Was Your Last Mammogram?

This is a question that is often asked by my siblings since two of them have been diagnosed with breast cancer. My youngest sister just recently, and one of my older sisters has had it show up twice...as well as having a couple of small tumors removed from her thyroid recently.

I must admit to them that it has been several years since I've undergone a mammogram and that it's mostly been my choice not to have one done.

My older sister's first diagnosis was not found through a mammogram. In fact, she was diagnosed four months after having a mammogram that showed no problems and ended up having a mastectomy. The same thing with my younger sister. She had a mammogram this past December which was negative and the early part of June, she was the one who found a lump.

Having come from a large family (8 girls, 2 boys) with a history of cancer in our family, I believe the medical industry has done a good job in putting the fear in ya, to do things as they see that they should be done.

When my older sister was diagnosed the second time with breast cancer (in the other breast), do to her own research and my helping her by leading her to different reports and studies, she refused the chemotherapy which is so detrimental to the rest of your health.

She did have herself tested to see if she had the "gene" that predisposes you to cancer (oncogene AC), which she does. Therefore, no more mammograms for her, which is a good thing. Instead she gets MRIs every six months to keep tabs on whether this disease shows back up or not.

Now wouldn't you think the insurance companies would pay for this test? After all, if you have this gene and the radiation from mammograms could increase your chances of cancer tumors significantly, the more they are going to have to pay out for future procedures. BUT, most insurance companies don't cover this test. My sister paid for it out of her own pocket (approx. $150).

When it's predicted that 10,000 women will die this year, that are carriers of this gene, largely due to mammograms...wouldn't you think the test would be mandatory before mammograms were even implemented in women?

The radiation that women are exposed to in mammograms is cumulative. Which means if they start testing you at the age of 40 (or earlier), each time you have a mammogram, your chances of getting breast cancer are increased 1-2%, depending on how many views they take.

Multiply that times the number of years you receive them, and if you're already predisposed to the disease, by the time you're in your 50s or 60s, you have upped your chances of tumors appearing by 10-20%.

Is it any wonder that I don't put much faith in the medical industry? Should I be one of the ones stuck with this disease, I will use whatever alternative information I have to assault it before I let them slice and dice me, destroy my immune system, only to have it come back and begin the whole regimen all over again!

I, for one, refuse to be their guinea pig!

Your Child Has Cancer....

What would you do if the medical, legal, justice system told you that you could not do what you thought was best for your child with a diagnosis of cancer?

Here's what usually happens in our society (sad to say):

"An unholy alliance of California Child Protective Services (CPS) with a hostile doctor and judge is attempting to railroad Laurie Jessop, framed as a threat to her son and the establishment for finding a way to cure him of malignant melanoma. She is now on trial, under a gag order, since she had gone to the press. When she was arrested, she was put in maximum security, solitary confinement, in the Orange County, CA jail. They claim that everything about. her says anti-Establishment, so she was told, as she was considered a threat in starting a riot.

On the morning of Sept. 12, Gary Null read on KPFK, a Pacifica station in Los Angeles, an e-mail from Ron Miller, who had met Ms. Jessop at the Cancer Control Society annual convention during the Labor Day weekend. They had discussed this persecution by Big Brother in the guise of saving her son from this evil mother who has failed to protect him! She disobeyed doctor’s orders and found a natural way to cure her son. These forces arrayed against her and insisted he must have the cancer removed surgically and attacked with the standard chemical fare. The cancer is gone, but nobody in authority will accept that because her doctor doesn’t believe that’s possible.

The initial biopsy of the mole was done in February. Their regular doctor was on leave when test results came in. A nurse informed them of the bad news. On May 8, Chad Jessop had a follow up appointment with a medical group doctor, by the name of Dr. Masciana, who insisted he needed surgery to excise the site within a week, or he could die any day now! This doctor is a general practitioner, not an oncologist or qualified to do cancer diagnosis or surgery. Chad and his mom decided to pursue holistic treatment for him. Incensed, the doctor reported her to Child Protective Services on the grounds of gross negligent child endangerment. She yelled at Laurie “all of you Jehovah’s Witnesses are all the same,” never mind Laurie and Chad are not Jehovah’s witnesses. Dr. Masciana also told Laurie, with her son present, that his death was imminent. At the close of the appointment, Dr. Masciana informed Laurie that she was referring the case to Social Services. In further investigation, Child Protective Social Services is a misnamed government agency whose employees get paid bonuses every time they take children away from their parents.

That evening Laurie called an attorney who advised her that she had 48 hours or less before Social Services showed up. If she could not prove she was following doctor’s orders, they’d take her son. Since Dr. Masciana had created such a traumatic experience for Chad, he feared the doctors and threatened to run away. In honoring Chad’s wishes for continued holistic care, Laurie took her son to San Diego to continue holistic care using a number of various alternative treatments such as: ozone, hyperbaric oxygen chamber, hydrogen peroxide, energy work, Rife, nutritional supplements, and deep emotional work. Laurie also used “black salve” that she purchased from Canada to remove the mole tissue. Black salve was developed by Native American Indians more than 200 years ago, and used in the treatment of skin lesions, cancers, warts, and moles. Figures our FDA banned it, because it works.

When Chad insisted on hitting the road to continue alternative therapies and getting further diagnostics, that left a question as to where Laurie’s daughter Crystal would go. A close friend of the family and Crystal’s best friend agreed, and this felt like a perfect fit under the circumstances, so Laurie legally signed Crystal over to the family and gave them all the necessary medical insurance information. On May 22, the local sheriff and CPS had taken her daughter out of class, interrogating her mercilessly, telling her lies about her mother, trying to force her to reveal where Laurie and Chad had gone, and then forced her to go on a police joy ride and show them where they reside. All of this was done against her will and carried on for six hours!

They applied “Black Salve” directly to the area in question, thus giving Chad a holistic version of a large border excision. It took about two and a half weeks for the wound to heal. When it was healed Laurie took Chad to a Del Mar dermatologist for a biopsy. The test results were negative of any signs of melanoma! The next two weeks were concentrated on once again healing the tissue to get another biopsy. Upon the wound site being healed, a melanoma specialist did a punch biopsy and a complete lab analysis on Friday, June 15. Again, no sign of cancer could be found in the biopsy and the blood work was in healthy ranges with no distinguishing markers that would otherwise be present in a patient that would have advanced stage four melanoma, as had been previously reported! Was it a miracle, or an activated immune system in a healthy young man, with some useful help, that healed the melanoma?"

I don't know about you....but something isn't right when we have a society that tells us "exactly" what we can and can't do in raising our children. That's exactly why we have the largest number of overweight, over-medicated children in the world.

It simply amazes me that, here you have a child, who is clearly coherent and has knowledge about what they want to do to him. He chooses to take another path in the hopes that it will do less damage to him then the one our medical society states he should do.

Once done, and he and his mother have proof that he no longer has the cancer -- of course, the medical society can't let this happen! He must have it somewhere else now and we need to go looking for it (at what expense)!

I think I'm one of those people who have become really callus towards the mainstream medical industry. Particularly as it relates to deadly diseases. They appear to only have different information than what I do! The main difference being they spent thousands for their education and all I've done is research online. Perhaps they need to set aside time every week and do the same....then I might say that they are more informed than I am!

When you read what they consider "success" and "cure" rates to be (living 5 yrs. after their debilitating procedures), and what other harm their procedures such as mammograms can do....how can they boast about what their profession has accomplished?

After my siblings going through their procedures for removal of their malignant tumors, three of my other siblings went and got every test they could think of to make sure they did not show any signs of the same types of cancer showing up in them.

BAM...they just exposed themselves to more radiation (cancer cause). Of course, they also at that time called me and suggested that I also go and be checked. I gently told them that since cancer does obviously run in our family, I was not going to "up" my chances for getting it by exposing myself to the same procedures that are known to cause it!

Understandably they think I'm a little bit "out-there" with my concepts, but not one of them has done their own research. They are like most people that just choose to bury their heads and let the "good" doctor who has all this education and must know more than them, control what will happen to them should they be diagnosed with it.

After all, it's easier that way!

I love them anyway, and will continue to slowly plant knowledge into their heads (hopefully), that they need to take the steps necessary to protect themselves from a medical society that has clearly gone astray from "due no harm"!

At least if they will come around to the concept that there are alternatives that can work right along side "standard" medical professions or in conjunction with it, then you're taking an approach that can put a double-whammy on this disease and hopefully also salvage your own body in the process.

Taking Control Of More Than Your Cancer Health

For all those interested in taking control of your health in general, whether it's flu symptoms that you are experiencing, fungus problems, skin moles, etc., I felt that everyone should know that there are safer ways (and cheaper), to treat most common ailments without going to a physician and paying exorbitant prices.

I've used some of the natural remedies found on this site and can personally attest to using cayenne pepper for strep throat. My whole household went through a bout of this last winter, passing it from one member to another.

My daughter and son-in-law used prescription drugs from their physician to deal with their's and I logged onto this site for my remedy. I'm not a big fan of extremely "hot" spices, but I can tell you that my strep throat was gone the very next day! I was amazed, and I continued to watch my daughter and son-in-law take their meds for another two or three days.

The other remedy I used was the apple cider vinegar for a sinus infection. I had never had one before, but my daughter has always been prone to get them every year. So when I came down with one, she was immediately able to tell me what I had.

Again, going to the above web site and looking up sinus infections led me to my cupboard and I pulled out the apple cider vinegar. I only had the common grocery store kind and it worked fine. Using a bowl and a large towel, I poured a mix of one part vinegar and one part water that I heated in the microwave. I proceeded to place the towel over my head and over the hot bowl so that I breathed in the steam.

Keep your eyes closed while doing this and slowly inhale and exhale for at least five minutes. I did this procedure once in the morning and once in the evening. Again...by the next day there was an immense improvement. My head was no longer stuffed up and my sinuses were draining beautifully. Exactly two days, and I was feeling my old self again.

By the way, organic apple cider vinegar added to 16 oz. of spring/distilled water (1-2 tsps.) is great for balancing your body's pH levels. If your body is too acidic (from all the processed foods we consume), you are a good candidate for cancer! Cancer cells do not multiply in a body that has a balanced pH.

To test your pH, just pick up some pH test strips at your local health food store or pharmacy.

Clean Out The Cancer Causing Sludge!

I know it's been a while since I posted on this blog, but a lot of things have happened.

My brother with colon cancer has not been fairing well since his operation. Although they have reconnected everything and they told him it would be six months before he would be back to normal....that hasn't happened (surprised!....I'm not!).

He's afraid to go too far from a bathroom for fear of having an accident! Now they have him on perscription medication to "prevent" him from going to the bathroom so that he is able to perform his job! Then he takes another pill to counteract that pill to make his bowels move. Ludicrous if you ask me!

The bottom line is the doctors lied! When we asked him when he was going to seek other advice, his response was "I want this doctor to fix it. He's the one who told me everything would be working properly....he's the one who needs to fix it!" The problem with that is: What if "he" doesn't know how to?

Now....my sister who has been through breast cancer (twice), also had cancer show up on her thyroid and had to have that removed. She appears to be doing okay and her voice has changed....but at least she can talk, walk, and not need to be chained to bathroom facilities all the time.

Add to that one more: My youngest sister was diagnosed with breast cancer two months ago and underwent a lumpectomy. I, being the good sibling that I am, tried to steer her towards other options of post-surgery protocols....such as natural products that would help her rather than going through chemo (destroys the immune system) and radiation.

Of course, the medical industry put a scare in her and she went with their treatments. She is currently shopping for a wig for the hair loss and will not return to her job until all the treatments are complete (after December).

One thing I will add here is that not one of my siblings has changed their way of eating. I think it is vital that they start to learn what they are putting into their system by buying too much of the processed foods that we have in our grocery stores, along with the enviromentally bad exposures that we've become accustomed to.

I think it is vital in today's world that everyone do a colon cleanse quarterly to clean out all the "junk" that gets plastered to our bowels from what has become our "normal" diets. So as to not disrupt your lifestyle too much, a three day cleanse would be the minimum.

It makes absolutely no sense to try and supplement your vitamin intake with good quality vitamins unless your body is going to be able to process what your taking. If your body is filled with old decaying matter (sorry for being blunt), it is not going to be able to assimilate any of the good stuff that you decide to put it in...that's just the facts!

So remove the old junk with a colon cleanse followed by a liver cleanse. Add some digestive enzymes to get your digestive track working properly, and you're on your way to correcting a lot of your health problems.

Another suggestion would be to make sure you get all and any of the bright colored fruits and vegetables into your diet. If you're unable to get fresh, unadulterated produce from your supermarket, the next best thing is buying the numerous dried formulas they have available at most health-food stores.

Most of these formulas, with one serving, give you the equivalent of six servings of fruits or vegetables and come in flavors that make them easy to swallow. Just be sure that they are all natural with no additives.

More "Natural" Cancer Fighting Information...

First an update on my brother:

He's doing "okay". He had the surgery to re-attach everything so that he's no longer using an ostomy bag....but the road is still long with the healing process and hopefully getting control of bathroom functions (no guarantees from the medical establishment). He can't wander too far from bathroom facilities at this point, which means no long distance traveling. He was told after the surgery, it would take him about six months to be functioning normally. Well....that time has come and gone. Now they're telling him it could be six months to a year before he would function normally (for some reason, I don't have much faith in what they say). Even through all of this, he still will not listen to any recommendations or options for taking control of his own health. I love him anyways and can assure you, if he's ever ready (which some people never are) to take responsibility for his own healing process, I'll be there to at least direct him to information that could very well extend his life.

On to other info....

Ya'all know that eating fresh fruits and vegetables are good first steps in fighting cancer...right? And ya'all also know that the bright colored fruits and vegetables have the most bang for your buck in that fight! Hey look....I hate most dark colored (green) vegetables myself (i.e. spinach, asparagus), but I will eat broccoli (which, by the way, is one of the most potent cancer fighting vegies).

Have you ever heard of chlorella and spirulina? I hadn't either! And goodness knows, I would have a hard time eating spinach and such daily! But what if you could get the most "complete food" substance in a capsule that you take daily? What if that capsule also removed a lot of harmful substances from your body naturally, at the same time that it was giving you the essentials you need to help make your body whole again?

I haven't posted in a while because I've been steadily trying to get my brother to seek alternate therapies for his colon cancer. No success as of yet. Even though my sister who had breast cancer (twice), has given her imput as to why he should not go through chemo (her second bout with breast cancer, she refused the chemo).

I don't how many people are aware that skin cancer is generally one of the worst cancers to get. Unless you catch it at a very early stage, it often times has moved on to other organs/areas of the body. I also don't know how many realize that, just as with other treatments for cancer, our FDA and medical/pharmaceutical society have tried to stop us from gaining access to alternative methods for treating this horrific problem.

I'm going to try and stay off the "soap box" and just give you information that you can use to persue your own path or to help others that you might know that have/had this condition. Chances are, once bitten by this disease, it re-appears again at some later date in another location.

In the 10+ years we’ve been in business, we’ve had thousands of satisfied customers. Not one complaint in 10+ years, and then we received 2 complaints. The first complaint was from a woman in Texas who claimed her doctor used H3O internally during surgery and it fused her organs together. We had expert witnesses testify that this was not possible. The second complaint came from a woman in Indiana. She claimed that Cansema Salve burned the skin off her nose off. She then stated that it was the H3O that was the cause of the damage. She did in fact order H3O, but tried to return it 1 & ½ years after ordering stating that she never used it. In her own sworn testimony she claimed that she never even opened the H3O bottle. She then claimed that it was Bloodroot Paste from Appalachian Herbal Remedies that was the cause of her nose falling off. After several sworn and signed affidavits from the Indiana woman this is what we know:

1. She applied Cansema, she then applied Bloodroot Paste from a different company altogether.

2. She didn’t have problems until after the application of the Bloodroot Paste and she picked the skin off of her nose.

3. She never opened H3O although she claims H3O was the cause of the damage to her nose.

4. She signed a sworn affidavit that didn’t mention H3O, Cansema, Greg Caton or Alpha Omega Labs at all three days after Greg Caton (owner of Alpha Omega Labs) plead guilty of introduction of a new unapproved drug. She blamed the entire incident on Appalachian Herbal Remedies.

5. She also testified that before she applied any of the herbal treatments she was diagnosed with Cancer. She reports that she is now Cancer Free.

The sad fact is although we had hard evidence that Cansema did not damage this woman, she did use the product before applying the Bloodroot Paste. Once again the insurance company felt more comfortable with settling than with going to court. Everything I have said above is on the record and documented with the courts.

My last update is regarding Mr. Toby McAdam aka Risingsun Health aka McAdam Enterprises. We have gotten hundreds of complaints starting from last year about Mr. McAdam. He claims to have Cansema products and has none. He has tried to create a product that mimics the creation of Greg Caton but has failed. Upon doing so, he has cheated hundreds of people out of their money, hopes and in some cases – their health. I have complaints that he charges customers cards and then they never receive any products. I also have complaints that he charges customers cards and after waiting sometimes several months, they get something that isn’t Alpha Omega’s products at all, and in fact, doesn’t even work. They believe they are getting Alpha’s products because Mr. McAdam has stolen an entire copy of our web site. He uses our testimonies, our pictures, Greg Caton’s words, etc. Nothing is his own. Cansema Type Black Salve Recipes

eRegimens' Recipe for Cansema-type salve #1, involved recipe.

This recipe is rather involved, but makes the best product since it comes out very smooth and the consistency can be easily adjusted. Ideally it will be about the same consistency as white glue, and is just about as sticky.

Make strong tincture/extracts (50% alcohol, 50% water) of chaparral and bloodroot, a cup of each. Simmer them under heat, but do not boil, until they are reduced by half. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of powdered zinc chloride. Add arrowroot and china clay (kaolin) to thicken to desired consistency - should be a very thick liquid, but don't make it too thick or it won't penetrate well. Note that it will thicken further when it cools. Add a half teaspoon of DMSO or two teaspoons Miracle II Neutralizer to make it penetrate better..

eRegimens' Recipe for Cansema-type salve #2, easy recipe.

This recipe is easy, plus only makes a small amount. It is not as strong as the recipe above, does not penetrate as well, and may come out a bit lumpy, but it is still effective.

Mix 1 tablespoon each chaparral, bloodroot, and zinc chloride, all in fine powder form. Add enough Miracle II Neutralizer to make a very thick syrup, stirring well.

Other Black Salve recipes

Cansema Black Salve Recipe #1

One tablespoon each of powdered bloodroot and poke root
1 tablespoon zinc chloride
DMSO (5 drops per 4 ounces of salve)
One tablespoon Charcoal (optional)
Vitamin A, 10,000 IU (more vitamin A can be added up to 200,000 IU.
Pine tar (one teaspoon to one tablespoon)
Pascalite clay

Dissolve the zinc chloride in one to two tablespoons of warm distilled water. Use only enough water to dissolve. Set aside. (Be careful with this, do not get it directly on skin and keep locked from children), and do not breathe fumes.
Mix bloodroot, charcoal and polk root in a separate container with a little cooking oil, just enough to cover the herbs, mix well. Carefully add the zinc chloride and water mixture, stirring well. Gently heat the mixture in double boiler, stirring constantly for 30 minuets Remove from heat, stir well, let cool, add DMSO.
Next, mix one teaspoon to one tablespoon at a time of the Mennonite clay to the bloodroot mixture until you have a smooth, thick paste that is easily spreadable. Do not put too much of the clay into the mixture or it will be lumpy. If the mixture is too thick, add a few drops of oil or water to thin. If too thin, add a small amount more of the clay. The clay is important in this recipe since it helps to draw out impurities from the skin. If you do not have clay and need to make the paste right away, it can be thickened with flour.
You will only need to apply this paste once. Apply to the cancer, cover with gauze and tape (band aids will not work), leave undisturbed for 12 hours. At the end of 12 hours, wash area with soap and water, and then clean with hydrogen peroxide. This can be applied every 2-3 days if you feel you need to, usually one application is all that is needed for very small cancers. The cancer will drop off by itself in one to five weeks. Your may have pain, fever, stinging, intense itching or burning; this is normal. You can apply some chickweed salve to the area for the itching, but do not use anything else such as healing salves. Healing salves will heal up the area before it has time to kill the cancer.

Cansema Black Salve Recipe #2

Cansema is a natural skin cancer treatment. The active ingredients of Cansema are Zinc, bloodroot, and chaparral. It can be ordered from Alpha Omega Labs in the Bahamas. There is a Recipe available.
This is a recipe for a black paste very similar to the Cansema. But this is a preferred paste for melanoma and all suspect skin cancer like lesions. This paste also has worked well for all manner of cancers provided that they have become exposed to or close to the surface of the skin.

1/2 cup powdered Blood Root (Sanguinaria Canadensis)
1/2 cup Zinc Chloride, crystals or liquid
1/2 cup common white flour
1 1/2 cup warm water
100ml Chaparral extract or 100gm of powdered Chaparral (Larrea mexicana)

Pre-mix all but the water, thoroughly, before adding to the water. Using a stainless steel double boiler. Put in water, then stir in the other ingredients. Stir in well using a wooden spoon. Cook for thirty minutes over boiling water, stirring constantly. Application is much the same as Cansema. Apply a thin layer (2-3mm) of the paste over the affected area and cover for 24 hours. Then remove the covering but do not disturb the lesion at all, do not attempt to pull the cancer out at any time, it should fall out in 10 days or so. Some people with sensitive skin put Vaseline around the cancer so that the paste does not irritate the skin."

Moral of the story: If they won't let you sell it.....give them the recipe to make their own! Gotta love it!

And You Thought They Had Your Best Interest At Heart!

Nothing makes me angrier than to find "proof" that the conventional medical society will treat people with cancer....not by what's best for their condition.....but by what's best for the good ol' wallet!

Read the information posted here.....it is just incredible that it can be proven that the oncologists are selecting treatments based on what's going to get them more money....not on what's going to work the best for this particular patient and this particular cancer!

I keep preaching....make sure you are the one taking your health decisions in your own hands.....and don't let them sway you if, through your own research, you don't go with the treatment they want to give you. It is your life and it's up to you to do the research. They obviously know more answers through their studies, but they obviously can decide to have you go through a treatment based on their pocketbook only!!

With having two siblings going through recent cancer treatments...this has just got my goat really bad!!

CANCER Is In The Mind!

Although my brother is not someone who has any amount of "faith" for his own healing....I believe it is within each and everyone of us to change an outcome/diagnosis to other than what the conventional medical society
has presented.

Those of little faith, would call this "hokey", and give no more thought to it. Those of us with faith....will continue to send our energy to help heal our loved one. It has worked...and some mainstream medical physicians are beginning to give some credence to the process.

Most integrative medicine practices are now not only relying on conventional medicine therapies to address cancer issues, but also relaxation/self-healing techniques to ensure a successful recovery.

The theory, as in any business development, is that “If you believe you can....you can. If you believe you can’t....you can’t.” Each suggestion is correct.

How many times have doctors been unable to explain why or how a patient has recovered from a terminal diagnosis? Many patients are unable/unwilling to explain to the conventional medicine physician that they simply “believed” they would be healed because these physicians just would not be able to accept that as part of what they were taught.

We are all becoming more and more aware of the “fact” that all things are created from energy. Why is it so hard to then believe that based on that fact, that simply by applying your own energy towards healing your body....that it can’t be done?

You don’t have to take hours of classes on learning how to apply this energy....simply visualize the healing process in your own body and have faith that it is happening just as you visualized it.

The only requirement is that you spend a few minutes each day (preferably three times a day if you have an impending illness) doing this visualization and your “energy field” will take care of the healing process. At the end of each visualization session, mentally proclaim your gratitude for the healing process that is taking place.

If the medical profession is now accepting that your attitude towards your own healing has a lot to do with the results of their therapies....maybe it’s because there’s something to the science of it all and there’s absolutely no reason to not add it to your repertoire of therapies for the healing process.

For further study of this phenomenon, do a search on “self-healing". Some of the sites that will appear are by Jose Silva, The Secret, The Science of Getting Rich, Depak Chopra, and many others. Most proclaim that using your mind to heal yourself is a very viable procedure....but due to the FDA, FTC, and boat loads of other government agencies.....cannot claim that you can help heal yourself....just read their testimonials. It’s all about expanding the mind (which we use to little of).

Got Milk?....S/B Got Cancer!

How many of you are constantly telling your children to finish their milk? I know I did it when raising my daughter. I also became a big milk drinker myself....just love the stuff.

Fortunately for me, having grown up in a family of ten, we couldn't afford to drink milk all the time...most of the time, we just received it with our free school lunch. Now I'm almost glad that was the case.

How many animals do you see in the animal kingdom, that continue to drink milk once they are past the suckling stage? Heck, even your vet will tell you not to give your adult cat milk on a regular basis. Yet we get bombarded all the time in TV commercials and newspaper/magazine ads, on the benefits of drinking three glasses of milk a day for life!

What is all of this leading to:
There's a bovine growth hormone (BGH) that they've been injecting into cows so that the cows' milk production increases. Great for the dairy farmer....but what of the hormone that gets passed into the milk supply that you and I and our kids drink every day?

Dr. Samuel Epstein, Scientist, University of Illinois: "...there are highly suggestive if not persuasive lines of evidence showing that consumption of this milk poses risks of breast and colon cancer."

And to top it all off.....the reporters that uncovered this information, were dismissed from their jobs because they refused to "skew" the report.

Now add on top of that the fact that no one is able to label their milk or dairy product BGH (the hormone) free....(Ben & Gerry's ice cream wanted to put it on their label, but was told that they couldn't), and you have yourself a nice big cover-up of what you, I, and everyone else who consumes dairy, is putting in their body.

Don't forget the part that Monsanto, the makers of BGH, is also the same company that years ago said PCBs were safe! Just goes to show you where their interests really are!

"Participating" In Your Cancer Recovery

I'm happy to say my brother finally went for a second opinion on his cancer therapy treatments for his colon cancer....although I feel it would have been more beneficial had he gone for a second and third opinion prior to having the surgery to remove part of his colon.

His main reason for taking this step was the inconsistencies he was receiving at each step of his treatment from his current medical team. First off, prior to surgery he was told that he had a 20% chance of having a colostomy bag and if he did, it would be 2-3 months only. Well as soon as he got out of surgery, he was told that he would have to have the colostomy but still just for 2-3 months. Once released from the hospital, he was then told he would have to have it for at least 6 months!

Then he was told for his chemotherapy treatments that he would have a little box belted on that he could hide under his shirt, and would have to wear for 2-3 days while the chemo was being pumped into his body. When he went in for his appointment to have this contraption "installed"....well....now it's not a little box that he'll wear under his shirt, but a "fanny pack"!

To say he's getting discouraged with the conventional medical physicians, is an understatement. He lost his cool a little with this last change and actually decided that they weren't going to tell him what he could and couldn't do. He told them he would only go with the smaller container....period!

I read an article written by an M.D. who is Medical Director of The Miro Center for Integrative Medicine in Evanston, Illinois and Professional Advisory Board Member, NOHA., that hit the nail on the head when she stated that all doctors should be treated as "consultants" in your quest to cure any disease or injury. They know only what they've been taught in medical school, which in the United States, is usually limited to whatever specialty they've studied....period. It does not encompass other methodologies that could also enhance the standard medical treatments because that is not included in their studies!

Here is another article done by scientists in California that have studied Asian herbs to find out if they would be effective against fighting breast cancer. Yes, they tested a lot of them.....and the vast majority had no affect on the cancer itself (to me...that doesn't mean they would not help in you fight against cancer)....but they did find two that definitely attacked the cells and killed them! This was in 2001! Why was this not on every front page of every newspaper and headlined on every tv news hour? This should have been major news....yet, like me, I bet you didn't hear about it.

Just more info for opening up your horizons in "participating" in your cancer treatment and not be just another statistic for the typical medical industry to add to their numbers. You have nothing to loose and everything to gain by adding other methods of treatment to your arsenal against cancer.

Cancer and Oxygen Therapy

Only when you start taking responsibility for educating yourself when you have cancer, will you find the information you need to make informative decisions on combining conventional medicine and alternative therapies. In the research that I have done, oxygen therapy appears to be one of the main treatments (along with a body cleanse to expel dead cancer cells and other things lurking in your body).

Although not inexpensive, then again, neither are the conventional treatments that the mainstream physician is going to put you through. The main difference is the drug companies help to finance the costs to the doctor for the treatments he uses.....and the insurance companies only cover what you're physician prescribes. So any alternatives have to be paid for out of your pocket.

Read the full synopsis of how the conventional doctors wrote her off once she decided not to expose herself to anymore chemo and radiation and they gave her a week to live (this was in 2004). Guess what? She's still around! Not only does it have information on the dilemmas they faced, but it will also give you the much needed information you will need if you are going to approach your cancer in the same way.

I, myself, would feel sooo much better if I knew my brother was participating in his treatments, instead of just accepting them!!! But I also know, I have to respect his decision and be supportive in any other way that I can. In the meantime, I will still try to steer him into researching the alternatives....if only to make the conventional therapies more tolerable.

Back to the subject.....what does oxygen have to do with cancer? Everything! Everyone carries cancer cells in their bodies. It's only when these cells get out of control that you have a problem. What causes them to get out of control? Many things....our environment, food, habits. Scientists already know that if they put cancer cells in a petrie dish and block off the supply of oxygen....the cells will grow. If they keep them fed with oxygen....they stay the same. So suffice it to say, if you give your cells more oxygen through proper vitamins, expulsion of chemicals, parasites, etc., from your body, and a good healthy lifestyle that should include exercise of some sort....you chances of getting or fighting cancer are going to be greater.

Now, if scientist already know this....why hasn't this information been widely published to the mainstream population? The answer....how would the drug companies make their profits?

Cancer & Alternative Medicine - California

It came as a surprise to me (although I don't know why), when I came across a site that published information on a law that was passed by California in 2002, letting that state use and run "alternative" clinics! Now I know California has had these clinics and health centers because I've seen them listed on the web....but I wasn't aware that a law was passed in their state condoning them! I say, great for them, and let's hope that more states will follow suit. Afterall, it is our bodies and we should be able to choose what we believe to be the best thing to keep them going. Hopefully, mainstream medicine will also embrace the concept that different practices, used together, could create an entirely different outcome.

Another site that I have found with a lot of information in regards to natural cancer treatments is the Cure Zone . They not only have cancer information, but information for all kinds of other health problems, with specific herbs and remedies that might just help you more than what your current physician is doing. And just as they say.....please let your doctor know of any natural course you are going to pursue, because some drugs that they prescribe and any natural remedies that you might take, might have adverse affects. Please be wise about this!

If you look under the "Cancer" link that is at the top of the page, they will give you a list of the different herbs and remedies that are being used throughout the world. My sister is using some of these in her battle, but I feel she needs to do more! I believe colon cleansing is a must first step, and many of the alternative medicine practioners also suggest this along with a herbal remedie to enhance your immune system. The good thing is, she's at least more open to suggestion, than my brother, and is looking into the practice and it's benefits. More people with this disease should be doing the same thing, in my humble opinion!

Curing the Incurable (Cancer)

Now that my brother's treatments have been scheduled and he's had time to settled into a routine and actually think about what they are going to be doing to him.....I think he's actually starting to comtemplate that there could be other avenues he can take along with the conventional medicine. Woohoo....progress! At least he's entertaining the idea!

According to Mr. Moss, if you ask the "right" questions of your oncologist, he should be able to tell you that going through this radical attack on your immune system, will only net you another 2-3% more survival rate over the rate of radiation therapy! I personally don't believe that is a big enough percentage to warrant possibly destroying your immune system, but most patients will blindly do what their doctor says to do, and don't know what pertinent questions to ask before going into these radical treatments.

Educate yourself, people!!! Take control and become a part of your own healing. Contrary to popular belief....conventional doctors don't know everything!

Cancer and Vitamins

I can't help but feel, when I look back on things, if today's diet doesn't have a huge affect on what diseases we're going to contract. Cancer and heart disease have been on the rise at least for the last ten years....yet conventional medicine has not really advanced that much in how it is treated. Yeah, they've come up with "newer" chemotherapy drugs...not necessarily better ones though. All the research they put into testing these new drugs makes me wonder, why oh why, don't they put part of that money into researching why we get cancer to begin with.

When I grew up, we had our own garden, where our vegetables were fresh on our dinner table. It wasn't sprayed with any kind of insecticide or growth enhancer. They were just natural, home grown vegetables. Now you have to pay a premium at the grocery store for "organic" vegetables....ones that have had no spraying of any kind. If everyone were to start buying that kind of produce at the grocer, the price would decrease, and the pesticide veggies would disappear. I know that's unrealistic, since not everyone can afford the "organic" veggies. But imagine the number of illnesses and diseases that would decrease in numbers if everyone could afford to eat "organic".

What about the meats that we eat? Have you done your research on what cattle and farm animals are fed? Cows use to be put out to pasture to feed, now they are given grains that are high in hormones and chemicals. Well guess what? That's passed onto us whenever we eat meats. Take a look at our children and tell me that you can't see it. I know a lot of the overweight problems in our kids have to do with lifestyle being what it is today. Too much TV, video games, etc., and not enough physical activity.....but dietary problems also have a big impact on what's happening. And it's all going to contribute to ever rising cancer and heart disease rates!

What is the fourth largest killer of people? Medically prescribed medications and treatments! Shocking isn't it? But you don't see that being advertised on TV along with all the heart medications, reflux medications, viagra, arthritis medications....and every other medication that you constantly see being promoted by the drug companies.

How do we get our health back? Start by educating yourself....I've said it before and I'll say it again....educate yourself. It's well known that the people on this planet that live in areas that have not been affected by air/water pollution, commerce, and commercialism....have longer life spans and no high heart diseases or cancers! Could it be that their fresh air, clean water, and "fresh" foods prevent these diseases from infecting them. My guess is....YES!

Conventional Cancer Doctors @#>!##@!!!!

Received some news today in regards to my brothers colon cancer and it wasn't good! He finally had an appointment with an Oncologist and was told he would have to have his colostomy bag throughout his chemo/radiation treatment.....which he already knew....but then was told he would have to go through two bouts of the treatment which would put him in the 6 month area of treatment!!! Now mind you, his radiation therapist said he didn't see any reason why he couldn't go back in during treatment and have his colostomy reversed....the radiation shouldn't affect that at all!! (So he had a good outlook at that point.) Now this other doctor is telling him something all together different....and his regular cancer physician led him to believe all the time that he would be able to go back to work in 6-8 weeks and have the second surgery shortly after that time if he was feeling okay. Which one do you believe and why, oh why, don't these doctors get together to discuss treatments so that one is not telling the patient something totally different from another one?!!!

My feeling from the onset, was that his cancer physician was not being honest with my brother from the get-go. His bedside manner stunk when it came to how he handled the family members that were there for my brother! After the surgery, when he came out to tell us everything went well and we wanted to ask a couple of questions, he stated that he didn't have time for that right now and left!!! When we expressed our concern about this matter to our brother, I'm sure he didn't like it, but felt that since he started with this doctor, he was going to continue in order to get everything done as quickly as possible so that he could get on with his day to day living. So much for that theory!

My sister and I are going to see my brother tomorrow and hopefully talk him into consulting with another doctor and getting a second opinion. Hopefully, he'll take some guidance and start participating in his own medical education and realize that conventional doctors don't have all the answers and there just might be one out there that can help him better than this one is currently doing.

I really would like him to at least look at the information that is out there for alternative medicine and colon cancer treatment. There is just too much that points to it being a better way to go, not only for end results but for the benefits your body will receive instead of the chemo/radiation direction. Although the field is growing, here in Michigan we don't really have a lot of resources for alternative physicians. Having done research on the internet, I find only one place in Michigan that is listed as an alternative medicine clinic and that is at least a 4 1/2 hour drive from where he lives. What do you think the odds are that he'll take that route given the distance to get there?

I'm going to spend some time on the internet and at least see if I can come up with some phone numbers that he can call to get a referral to a practitioner that hopefully will be closer than half way across the state!

And, in the meantime, I pray for his cancer to go into remission on it's own!!! Miracles do happen!

Cancer and Drugs

I have two older sisters that were both taking prescribed hormone pills. One of them decided that with the history of breast cancer in our family, she really didn't need to increase her odds, so she quit taking them. The other sister has continued to take them for fear of having too many menopausal maladies strike her! What is she crazy? I think so! I would rather suffer some night sweats then suffer through a bout of cancer! The two don't even compare as far as I'm concerned....but that's not her perception and I have to let it go!

Now the one that did quit taking them, has noticed NO difference in how she feels and has not had an increase in menopause symptoms! Doesn't that make you go, hmmmm? Why were they prescribed for her in the first place? I would think any doctor who knew you had a family history of cancer, and then prescribed a drug that increased that chance of coming down with it, would be a doctor that did not have my best interest at heart (only his pocket), and I would drop him as my physician immediately!

She has made it a point to watch her diet and make sure she gets the essential vitamins (along with additional ones for her age). Her and my brother-in-law were the first in the family to start researching natural remedies and vitamin supplimentation for optimum health and disease prevention.

Now I'll let you in on a little secret about the pharmaceutical companies.....they don't want you using any natural alternative remedies/treatments, and they don't care about your health and welfare!

Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, back in 2002, petitioned the FDA to restrict access to natural alternatives. Why, you may ask? Because their synthetic hormone drugs were found to increase breast cancer, blod clots, heart attacks and strokes and the sales of that product took a nose dive in sales! If they win....you lose! You will no longer have the choice to use a safe alternative over one that the drug companies say is best for you!

I don't know about you....but that is scarey! To think that if I come down with cancer, I will not be able to use what nature has supplied as a way to treat it, because the drug companies say so! This is exactly what happened with vitamin B17 that I mentioned in one of my earlier posts. When and if, a cancer attacks my body.....I, and I alone, will decide how to treat it! That's why it's imperative that you support the doctors and clinics that offer these alternative therapies. If enough people frequent them...then and only then, will our standard medical society take note and embrace the concept that their is additional knowledge out there that can also support the medical community and they than can work together in the best interest of each individual!

When Your Family Doesn't Listen! (Cancer)

It really gets frustrating when the ones you love will not listen to what you feel is sound advice for taking the responsibility of their health and living longer, into their own hands, instead of handing it over to someone that they "feel" knows more than they do! The medical establishment can be very well versed in what they've been taught in medical school....but chances are, unless they took the initiative to do research on their own, they do not know the technologies that are available to their patients through means other than what the mainstream has taught them.

In my opinion....if all they've done is learn what our medical universities have taught them.....then they are only in it for the money....and not to genuinely help you or me, or a loved one. I believe that is the time to move on to another doctor who does have your best interests at heart (and they are out there), and will guide you to other alternatives to beating your disease!

A "Banned" Cure For Cancer

Doesn't it seem odd that through all of our technology and advances in science and medicine, that there has not been any forthcoming news on a cancer cure.....or one that you've heard of anyways in the mainstream newspapers or nightly news programs that you watch?

Do you realize that such a thing been discovered....and many years ago! The only problem is that it is not "allowed" in most countries by their regulatory organizations. Amazing isn't it?

I'm going to ask you to do your own research on B17 (banned in the USA) and find out for yourself. There's a lot of research that has covered this little vitamin.....yep...it's a vitamin, something that can't be regulated by the FDA (yet!)....therefore, big business would not be able to make a huge profit off of it. Never mind the benefits to millions of people who have been diagnosed with cancer!

The problem.....it has a natural cyanide in it....therefore, they don't want people using it (forget about it being a type of cyanide that your body can handle, and that it only attacks cancer cells!). Yet, they keep plugging all the drugs and therapies that have a ton more opportunity for damaging your body (chemo and radiation) and have less positive results for lengthening your stay on this planet!

Just to let you know, there are a few places in the world where you can get this treatment.....Mexico and Australia, and believe me, many people have decided to take these trips over using conventional medical practices. I personally applaud these facilities for making this alternative available...now the only problem is....getting the information to the masses!

In the meantime, to help prevent cancer, make sure you include this vitamin in your daily regimen for prevention purposes......do the research, it's out there!

Education - The Only Cure For Cancer

I have learned sooo much about cancer and what I believe is the right way to treat it, since my siblings have been diagnosed with the disease. I believe that self education is the only way that someone is going to combat this disease.

The internet has so much information that at times it feels like information overload! I think once you've searched for a couple of days.....you instinctively know from first glance, which sites are going to be helpful for you and which ones are just going to spout the same things that your conventional physician is telling you. The ones that do the spouting, are the ones I immediately dismiss.

So in my search, not only for perhaps future reference for myself, but also to drop whatever information I can should one of my diagnosed siblings care to check them out....I've come across this information.....which not only has numerous testimonials from actual people who have used alternative methods (and there's a ton of them)....but will also arm you with the information you need to start attacking your own cancer growth if you've been diagnosed with it.

Now I don't know about you, but if I'm going to try therapies to cure/arrest a disease, I would like to know what helped other people that had the same thing....and what the success rate was. One pertinent question I think everyone who has been diagnosed should ask their doctor is if he would go through the treatments he's perscribing for you.....chances are (if he answered honestly), he would not! You've already read that Dr. Lorraine Day would not, because the numbers in the survival column did not warrant what the treatments/surgery were going to do to her body! (Dr. Lorraine Day, M.D.)

I just wish I could get my younger brother to give this information a serious look....I truly believe he would fair better with it than what he's going to be going through with conventional medicine. He doesn't start radiation treatments for another 3-4 weeks......and I bet he doesn't even know that there's a "natural" chemo treatment that he could use instead of the standard method!

Nothing that conventional doctors say could make me believe that destroying your immune system is a good thing!

How To Help a Loved One With Cancer

Being supportive is one of the easiest ways of helping a loved one deal with a diagnosis of cancer....but what happens when their beliefs are contrary to yours? When you soooo truly want them to check an alternative path to fighting a disease because the conventinal methods used in the past....haven't been that successful?

The answer....just be supportive in their decision....period. Bring up the conversation of alternative therapys, but if they are not open to it, you're not going to change their minds no matter how important YOU think it is. We had asked our brother to get a second and third opinion on his diagnosis before going under the knife.....his response, "No way. I just want to get this over with (surgery, chemo, etc.)." Even though I had stated that after our sister's mastectomy, my research done on the internet, leads me to believe alternative treatments would give him a much better chance of freeing his body from cancer than what the conventinal methods will....I couldn't sway him to even look at the information! Did it distress me? YES....but I have to accept that it is his decision and his body!

For those interested, Dr. Lorraine Day, M.D., has put up the pictures of the breast cancer she had (and it was huge!), but she refused to go through conventional methods of treatment and cleansed her body of the cancer that was infesting it, with alternative methods. I mean, the pictures of the growth she had, tells the whole story, and her doctors told her if she did not have it removed, she would die! Well, she's still here today.....and she's here to tell you that alternative therapies work much better than conventional methods for cancer.

Did you know that some alternative treatments are 75+ years old, proven to work (documentation to back it up), but still cannot be used in main stream medicine due to FDA regulations, government interference, etc.

Doesn't it make you wonder.....does our country really want to have cancer cured? I know I think that often....let's face it, if it becomes widely known that it can be cured naturally, how much money will the government, FDA, corporate America make from a natural cure?

I hope this leads you to at least review some of the sites I've come across to educate yourself should this disease ever attack you. I know that I will not rely on conventional medicine should it become my turn to deal with it!

First Cancer Diagnosis Amongst Siblings

When my sister was first diagnosed with breast cancer....did the rest of us panic? Not really. You see she was a "middle" child, being the sixth born out of ten.....the fifth of eight girls. All of the older sisters had, at one time or another, lumpectomies that proved to be benign, and up to the present time, there has been only one sister who has not gone through this procedure.

I know her first thought was "Why me?", although I know she would also have not wished it on any of the rest of us. But she was one of those people who didn't drink, never smoked, and usually ate healthy foods (though I'm sure she ate un-healthy foods at times also).

The medical field will say that it's all in the numbers.....my mom having had breast cancer when she died, her sisters also had breast cancer, so the numbers were against us. I don't abide by this theory.

Why? I also have a sister-in-law who ended up with throat cancer, and fortunately it was caught early enough that she didn't loose her voice box....same thing as far as, she didn't smoke, didn't drink, has always maintained a normal weight, eats healthy, etc. Now what caused her cancer?

I don't know.....I just think the medical community is too involved with studying drugs and other expensive treatments, to really study the reason someone gets this disease to begin with. There has to be some other triggering element other than just family history.

I have done some other research on alternative cancer treatments ever since my sister had her operation, and there are just too many other plausible, less expensive, treatments than what the standard medical community is pushing on people these days. It worries me.... Are they really concerned for your well being, or is it the easy thing for them to do because that's all they've been taught? Cut, extract, radiate, chemo.....and then just hope for the best.....no guarantees....and, oh yeah, don't forget to keep coming back!

Well......the sad part of this story....three years after my sister had her mastectomy....they found a lump in her other breast. I guess the good part was they found it early enough, that she didn't have to have that breast removed. They removed what they saw and she went through radiation therapy again. Now, mind you, she had been to all her follow-up checkups....and she found this lump just three months after her last exam.

I, at this point, don't know what the definitive answer is, but I know our standard medical community is not doing everything it could be. I actually believe a lot of the treatment that they give you, does more harm than good! Do you know what the radiation and chemo does to your immune system? And that will never repair itself.... I don't know if it's worth the price!

During her first bout with cancer, my sister went through numerous life changes. Some say, brought on by the cancer....I say NOT! She re-evaluated her life, and decided she no longer wanted to be married to the person she had known since high-school, and they had been married for 36 years. Since I was single, she moved in with me while going through the divorce, the chemo, the radiation, and the reconstruction surgery.

I actually look up to her quite alot....she had a plate full....but continued every day with a positive attitude! She is definitely a strong person, although, she never thought she was prior to this....which is part of the reason she stayed in a marriage where she was not happy for a good number of years longer than she should have.

There's a lot of information on the internet for researching, should you or a loved one become a victim of this disease (remember....the numbers are against you). Although I've decided to begin this venture (notice that I didn't say "adventure"), of posting my thoughts on the treatments, causes, and anything else related to cancer, at times I know that's it's not going to be easy since it has struck numerous times in my family and has affected many aspects of our home life.

I thank God, everyday, that the loved ones I have now that have either had/or have cancer, are still around today! It would seem that in this world of soooo much advanced technology....that there is something that we are definitely missing in the cure for this disease. I propose that it will eventually be found to be something quite simple that was right under our noses to begin with......OR, could it be something that is as simple as eating too many processed foods and we're not getting all of the essential vitamins that we use to consume in a simpler time? Tell me what you think?

I feel that here in the good old U.S. of A., there are too many treatments around the world that are simply not allowed to be used here do to the government preventing people from having these treatments available to them within our country. It's no wonder that it's running rampant. Colon cancer has become the third largest killer disease here (and rising)! Why is that?

In my immediate living family alone, I have one sister who is a breast cancer survivor (of five years), and a younger brother who was just diagnosed with colon cancer this past November. My mother died at the very young age of 36 of cirrhosis of the liver (no...she was not a drinker), and a number of her sisters also died with breast cancer. On my father's side....although dad has lived a long and healthy life (he just turned 90 this past October), his brother had colon cancer 5 years ago....so he's a survivor.

With my brother's diagnosis, came a renewed fear of it showing up in more of us as time goes by (there are 10 siblings in the family....and as of this year....all of us are over 50 years of age). I'm thankful for the time that we've all had with no major illnesses or diseases. It's not too often that you come across a family the size of ours, where all the siblings are still around to enjoy the holidays and special occasions together! That in and of itself, is a miracle to me!

I do believe that one of the main factors in keeping a cancer-free body...is a good positive attitude that things of that nature, are not going to affect your body. But should it affect mine, I will not stand for the government telling me what treatments I am, and am not, allowed to use, just because I live in this country!
